Springs arrival in Ashland is a truly joyous time of year. Smiling faces greet you as you stroll through town. Oregon Shakespeare Festival
March 8th – October 27th, 2019
OSF in Ashland
Spring marks the return of the Tony Award-winning Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland. Patrons from around the world travel here to enjoy world-class theatre and the regions vibrant artisan culture. Starting in April, Ashland is buzzing with artisanal and theatrical events that coincide with OSF. If this season will be your first experience at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, then be sure to check out the outdoor Green Show that proceeds each evening play.
The 2019 OSF lineup includes Hairspray, Macbeth, Cambodian Rock Band, Between Two Knees, All’s Well That Ends Well, As You Like It, How To Catch Creation, Mother Road, Alice In Wonderland, Indecent, and La Comedia of Errors.

Ashland Independent Film Festival

If you’re a movie buff or independent film lover, then The Ashland Independent Film Festival is the Spring event in Ashland for you. The film festival is something that locals here look forward to all year long and attracts guests from around the country. The 2019 festival will feature over 100 independent films shown in venues throughout Ashland. Praised by the Washington Post as “a dream you’ll never want to leave.”. This action-packed week features dozens of related events and after-parties throughout the week and is simply an exciting time to be in Ashland whether you catch any of the films, or not.

Spring Thaw
May 18-19 2019
Ashland, Oregon
When the snow begins to thaw on Mt. Ashland, mountain bikers from around the region converge in Ashland for an epic weekend of downhill fun. “One of the longest standing mountain bike events in Oregon’s rich history of racing”, the Ashland Spring Thaw brings together a community of riders to enjoy the elite trails of Southern Oregon. Even if you’ve never ridden a mountain bike before, this event is an exciting spectator sport.
This year’s festival will include:
- Two cross country courses
- Two gravity ride courses
- A kid’s race
- And an All Mountain Challenge (to crown the best all-around rider on the hill)

Oregon Honey Festival
May 18-19

A weekend of bee-themed fun, join us in Ashland for the annual Oregon Honey Festival. Each year, bee and honey enthusiasts from around the region converge in Ashland, Oregon for a research-informed, passion-driven weekend of awareness toward our friendly bee population and the delicious creation we create from their efforts. This festival is all about connecting people with bee culture and the science behind bees and honey.
From talks and workshops to delicious treats from local vendors, the Oregon Honey Festival is a great place to experience some of the best that Ashland and the Rogue Valley has to offer.

A Taste of Ashland
April 27th, and 28th from 12 noon to 4:00 PM
Downtown Ashland
Foodies and wine connoisseurs from all along the west coast converge in Ashland to enjoy 17 galleries and to discover Ashland’s best restaurants and wines from around the region. This fun-filled day of art, wine, and culinary excellence is a warm way to welcome the Spring.
A Taste Of Ashland features a walking tour to 17 galleries paired with 17 wineries and 17 restaurants in downtown Ashland. A free trolley shuttle will be provided, by All Aboard Trolleys, to each of the galleries, but you can easily walk from venue to venue as well. This event is a fundraiser for the Ashland Gallery Association. Stay tuned for a complete list of 2019’s pairings.
